Poorly subtitled. Appears to be a beautifully filmed epic
about village life in the mountains of Japan, centreing on
the matriarch of the family, who is getting old, and near
time for "Narayama", wherein the elderly are abandoned on
some kind of mountain to die. Beautiful film, but I
wouldn't want to see it twice. The only film I can think
of in which a man has relations with a dog and horse.
