Acts 2: 44 "All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need."

Acts 4:32:  "Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common."

The End is Near

The Associated Press reports that Jerry Falwell, attending a Tennessee conference on evangelism, announced that he thinks that the world is coming to an end in less than ten years, and that the Anti-Christ is already among us.   He is a male Jew. 

I wish there had been more details published.  How does he know the Anti-Christ is a Jew, and not, say, an Eskimo?  If I were Anti-Christ, I think I'd be more subtle.  I wouldn't play into racist stereo-types, that's for sure.  On the other hand, the Anti-Christ would probably like racists stereotypes.

How does Falwell know that the Anti-Christ isn't a white Anglo-Saxon Protestent special prosecutor?

Jerry Falwell used to be leader of the Moral Majority.   If he led a similar organization today, after the results of all the polling of the past 12 months, he'd definitely have to call it the Moral Minority.  Then he'd have to go around saying, "when we finally take over the positions of leadership, we're going to make you live according to our rules, whether you want to or not."  That doesn't sound as glamorous when you are in the minority. 

It does sound glamorous, however, to go around whining about how you are persecuted because the government no longer forces all students, regardless of religious beliefs, to recite the Lord's prayer every morning.

The majority of people think it was great that Clinton committed adultery.  That's because they're all out there committing adultery too.   Just like Jimmy Swaggart and Jimmy Baker and Bob Barr.  What a crazy world.
