Forget all the diva's, the over-blown and the self-serving, and the contemptible Shrek version... and forget the whiney Loudon Wainwright version...   they don't get it.  This not a song about how great your voice is, and how magnificently authentic your pose is.  It's a song about a broken spirit.  John Cale got it.  So did this guy, an unknown, a small saint:
