Objective News
Someone is starting a new news network that claims to be objective and independent, unlike all of our current news sources. That's an intriguing promise even if nobody is really "objective". What they really mean, is free from corporate and government influence. Does this mean we might in the future see coverage of, say, Colin Powell's speech to the U.N. in which the anchor calls him a liar? Or discussion of Bush policies on interrogation that actually use the word "torture" instead of the phrase "enhanced interrogation techniques"? Or a welcome smirk after a clip of Bush blaming environmentalists for high oil prices?
